Anthony Clarke - Managing Director

Anthony qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now PWC) in 1980. Thereafter, he worked on a full time basis as a Finance Director and Chief Executive of a number of privately owned SME companies and since 1995 he has been a business angel investor/non executive director of over 20 start up up/early stage businesses. He was Managing Director of GLE Growth Capital from 2002-2009 and also sat on the main Board of GLE.

Anthony is now the founder and CEO of Angel Capital Group which includes London Business Angels. He is also a Co founder and currently sits on the advisory Board of the UK’s first Enterprise Capital Fund, Seraphim Capital. He has been Chairman of the British Business Angels Association since 2004 and is President Emeritus of European Business Angels Network. Anthony also sits on the Venture Capital Committee of the BVCA.

Jenny Tooth - Director

With 20 years experience supporting business growth and access to finance both in the UK and Europe, Jenny has been both on the demand side and supply side of early stage investment. Jenny spent nine years in Brussels between 1990 and 1999, working on business development and innovation assignments and advising on EU funding programmes on behalf of public authorities, intermediary agencies and businesses in UK and other parts of Europe.

Jenny was the Business Development Director of GLE Growth Capital and has developed and operated a number of innovative programmes within the UK and Europe, focusing on investment readiness, high growth coaching and access to investment for SMEs. She also has extensive experience in developing cross-border investment opportunities and has recently led the successful EU EASY Project with 17 early stage finance partners across 11 countries. Jenny has a first degree in French and Italian and an MSc in Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science.

Guy Willmington – Operations Manager

Guy provides operational support to the investment team at London Business Angels. Guy holds an MSc in International Business and Management with Distinction from Manchester Business School and a BA (Hons) in Economics and Politics.
