Our Costs
At LBA we are completely transparent about the costs involved with working with us.
We do not charge anything to review your Business Plan, nor for the 2-3 hour meeting with our investment team following successful screening of your submitted documents.
Should you be selected to pitch to the network a nominal presentation fee is payable. This covers our costs to provide you with our comprehensive training programme as well as to produce our marketing collateral prior to the event, including a glossy brochure produced for each event which is distributed to all attendees and sent out to all our investors who were unable to attend, as well as a professionally produced 2 minute pitch video which our investors are invited to view online.
Following the event, you have complimentary access to our meeting rooms with which to hold your syndicate meetings with our investors, while we are here to answer any questions you may have.
Upon successfully raising finance London Business Angels charges a success fee on any monies raised through introductions made by the network. This is paid on completion out of the funding raised.
LBA Charges Summary
Business Plan Review and Initial Meeting - No Charge
Registration Fees - £750 + VAT where companies present for 11 minutes + Q & A. The initital registration fee is lower for start-up companies looking to raise initial seed funding where a 7 minute presentation + Q & A is considered to be more appropriate
Success Fee - Standard rate of 5% + VAT on funds raised through LBA introduction. Slightly higher for companies where initial registration fee is lower.
In the event that the £50m Angel CoFund (of which LBA is a syndicate partner) invests alongside an LBA synicate, LBA will not charge a success fee on the cofund's investment. However, investment by our in-house LBA EIS Fund will incur the standard LBA success fee.
As there is no initial engagement fee you have nothing to lose by making an enquiry. Our relatively small up front presentation fees for companies selected to pitch (rather than corporate finance fees which can run up to several thousand pounds), also make LBA a cost effective way to secure your equity funding.
