In 1995, having already tapped all of his known sources of finance, Karan (now Lord) Bilimoria presented at one of London Business Angels’ events to raise angel funding for his business, Cobra Beer.

Twelve years later Cobra Beer is one of the fastest growing and most highly acclaimed beer brands in the UK. The brand has a current retail value turnover of £126 million, is sold in restaurants, bars, supermarkets and leading outlets throughout the UK – as well as close to 50 countries worldwide.

The original London Business Angels investor still holds equity in Cobra Beer and – along with having made a very profitable investment - remains one of Cobra’s most active and supportive investors, a true ambassador for the brand.
