Case Study - BAC2

In June 2006 Bac2 successfully raised £500,000 of seed funding through London Business Angels and its sister fund London Seed Capital.

The investment allowed Bac2 to further develop its technology polymer that will make a significant contribution to the early adoption of clean energy from fuel cell stacks. Fuel cells are technically proven sources of clean energy; however adoption is presently limited by cost. Bac2s technology will enable the uptake of this technology by significantly lowering costs and increasing performance.

This investment resulted in more than a simple injection of angel finance. Bac2 also gained a lead investor with 13 years experience of growing a highly successful semiconductor business thus bringing a wealth of expertise and contacts. Bac2’s components are currently undergoing testing by customers to help power everything from cars and buses to laptops and mobile phones and even homes and offices in the years to come.
